Service Fees

  • Effective 1/1/10, there will no longer be a charge for rents paid via credit card as this is the preferred method of rental payment.  A $35 fee will be charged for checks returned by the issuer’s bank due to nonsufficient funds.

Work Time

  • The calendar to sign up for work time is held at our front desk. Be sure to sign up for the monthly time commitment that fits your schedule each month and remember the various ways time can be worked.

Be sure to…

  • Tell everyone you know that your crafts are on display at this store.
  • We advertise with conventional methods however, your recommendations will bring more customers to your space.
  • Do all you can to promote your own space; you are sure to benefit from this kind of effort.
  • Fliers are available for handouts; take them to display or hand out to all buyers at all craft shows you attend.
  • Encourage your customers to pick up special orders at the store.

Move-in

  • It is important that you move into your space within 7 days of the beginning of the license agreement.
  • IMPORTANT: If you do not move in as agreed upon, Madison Craft & Gift Shops may at it’s discretion re-sell your display space and assign your space to a similarly priced display space.

Space Size

  • Spaces vary in size.
  • Be sure to measure the inside of your space before planning or beginning any construction.

Decorating

  • encourage individuality but we do ask that modifications to booth walls and flooring be run by us first for acceptance; please see staff on duty.
  • In order to build upon a ‘shops’ theme, we suggest adding a shop sign, a window or other ‘shop’ décor.
  • We will be happy to provide various display options, which according to our experience will draw the customer’s eye towards your products.
  • Signage restrictions apply - MC&G Shops does not permit ‘going out of business’ ‘quitting business’ signage.  Sales must be temporary and have an ending date.

Displays

  • Displays that are permanently attached to existing walls become the property of Madison Craft & Gift Shops LLC when you vacate your space and must be approved before setup.
  • Displays may not extend above the walls of your space nor cover the ‘blue’ separation board between booths unless pre-approved by MC&G Shops.

Always

  • Use security tags on small items (purchase from the store)
  • Use wallpapers & fabrics to decorate
  • Make your display as appealing as possible
  • Fill your space to capacity with your products
  • Come to the mall often - Set up a “make-and-take” on busy days
  • Tell everyone your crafts are at the store
  • Share your ideas & let us know how to improve

Never

  • Use paint on booths or anything that may cause excessive fumes or is flammable.
  • Use animal skins or feathers to decorate.
  • Take photos or sketch anything but your own space.
  • Display merchandise that could be deemed offensive.
  • Mix handmade crafts with more than 10% gifts in a craft booth.
