• Sept 12th - Sunday 9am-1pm.  Art at the Mart - Monona Farmers Market.  Sponsored by Madison Craft & Gift Shops.  Located at Ahuska Park on Broadway in Monona.  Besides fine fall decor, jewelry, fine arts, doll apparel and more, enjoy live musical entertainment, FREE ‘make & take’ crafts, face painting and a very nice selection of farmers produce, seafood, bakery and more.  Skip breakfast and come on down to Ahuska Park for a hot specialty coffee and cinnamon roll!
• Sept 25th - Monona Drive’s Alive Street Celebration.  Bands - Food - Crafts - Flea Market - Sidewalk Sales - So much more!  9am-??????  Broadway through Nichols/Pflaum Road.  Walk the drive, see all thats alive!  (Vendor participation, call Terri at Monona Chamber of Commerce)
• Oct 22, 23, 24 - 5th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION. 
• Nov 13-14 - HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE.

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS:

• Soy Candle Making.  This 2 hour workshop with Elinor will leave you with a wealth of knowledge about candle making and the benefits of soy in candles.  Bring a favorite container to make a candle in or use one of ours.  Workshop fee is $10 and includes everything you need.  Interested in making additional candles?  Bring your container(s) as Elinor keeps extra supplies on hand for this purpose (additional cost).  Dates available:  Sunday, Sept 19th, 2-4pm;  Sunday, October 17th 2-4pm; Saturdays 10-noon:  Nov 20, Dec 4, Dec 11, Dec 18. 
• Painting on Various Media.  Ann Windell is the instructor in these 1-day painting workshops where you learn techniques to paint on the media you select, whether it be canvas, glass, wood or a piece special to you.  Take home some beautiful works of art you’ve created yourself!  Class fee of $30 ($65 for    windows) includes all supplies and requires advance registration 442-7467.  Beginners to advanced.  Dates available:  Sat, Sept 18th 10-1pm;  Sun, Oct 3rd 12-4pm (fall windows!); Sat, Oct 9th 10-1pm; Sat, Oct 30th 10-1pm; Sat, Nov 6th, 10-1pm (Holiday workshop); Sat, Nov 20th, 1-4pm.  Come for one or come for all.
• Intro To Calligraphy.   Basic calligraphy instruction will be taught giving you foundation skills to build upon.  Just think how nice your holiday cards will look when you personalize them in this beautiful script.  Besides being useful, this class is fun and many of our students return for additional fun.  Taught by Marj Winch, the fee is $15.  Dates available:  Sat, Oct 16th 9-noon or Thurs, Oct 28th 9-noon.
• Basket Weaving.  The perfect introduction to basket weaving.  Ardys McDonald will help you create a beautiful basket.  Our last class was extremely well received and attendees are anxiously awaiting her next session.  If interested in learning basket weaving, be sure to call the store and get on our call list 442-7467.
• Learn to Knit.  Monday evenings 6-8pm.  Instructor, Sandra Otterson, teaches both right and left handers in knitting techniques of all levels and ages.  Fee for 1 visit is $10.  A discount up to 50% is available for those wishing to purchase more than 1 lesson.  There is no cost for those wishing to bring their knitting and come visit - the more the merrier!  We have no session on evenings that the Madison Knitting Guild meets so if you are new, call 442-7467 to confirm your attendance.   Fall sessions begin Monday, Sept 20th.
• Card Making.  Too many papercrafting products but confused what to do with them?  Sue Cramer can get you started and fill your book with all kinds of fun ideas to make creative holiday cards, scrapbooks, bookmarks, ornaments and so much more!  Check back as we finalize workshop dates.  Better yet, call and let us know your interest.
• Jewelry For Beginners.  So many beautiful beads, old jewelry to make new again and oh what we can make!  We’ll go over the basic supplies needed and various findings and beads while creating several pieces of jewelry.  Check back for the fall schedule.
